Community-Based Research
CRRC is conducting focus group research on the impacts of racism and racialization on community members that either live, work, and/or study in Peterborough. This research has a particular focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on black, indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC) in Peterborough. The CRRC will use this research to develop programming and services that will better meet the needs of racialized individuals in our community, and help set the strategic direction of the organization.
There are 6 BIPOC Focus Group sessions that will take place in March, April and May this year. Each focus group will last 2 hours and will take place in the evening.
This research and the programming that will emerge from it is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund.
