Indigenous Fringe Festival at Trent

ndigenous Fringe Festival Shifts into Cars For months, the Nogojiwanong Fringe Festival team has looked forward tobringing artists and audiences together in beautiful outdoors venues atTrent University campus As of June 17, they were informed that under Ontario's current reopeningplan, the original "live" event will not be allowed. The revised plan is a shift from open air shows to drive in shows. Arevised schedule of performances can be found on their websitewww.indigenousfringefest.ca  Drive-in performances will take place in Parking Lot X on Trent's eastbank from June 23 - 27. Those wishing to reserve tickets to the drive-in performances (whichallow for much larger audiences) may do so by emailingindigenousfringefest@gmail.com For more info, here's the Festival website:http://www.indigenousfringefest.ca/news.html

Water Summit – Zhaabwiitoodaa Nibi

This week the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians is hosting a Virtual Summit on Water Protection. This will take place Thursday June 24th to Saturday June 26th and feature many incredible speakers including a Keynote from Winona LaDuke! Together at this Summit, we will learn Traditional Teachings from Elders, hear from Water Protectors and learn how to UNITE in our efforts.
