Afiwi Groove, based in Durham, offers a session of classes FREE to children and youth across Canada, Wednesdays from January 11 to February 17.
Afiwi Groove School, a non-profit organization in Durham Region, is continuing to support the community during “Lockdown 2” with free online dance classes for children and youth across Canada.
The school aims “to empower, educate, and inspire through Arts and culture of the African Diaspora.” This session will explore Afro Dancehall, Soca, and Afro Beats, getting children moving, motivated and connected to their peers.
Registration is now open HERE or by clicking the image to the left. The groove continues!
Sponsors for these classes include the Government of Canada and the Red Cross. The school says “We look forward to having your community join with us once again for this workshop series. We have simplified the registration process, so it is easy for individuals to sign up. Please share the information with any family or youths you think would be interested.”
